Tidal Resource Assessment

SRSL provide a range of flow measurement services, using a variety of techniques. These services are offered as a complete package including from deployment through data collection and analysis to final reporting.

  • Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ACDPs)
  • Electromagnetic current meters
  • Acoustic wave measurement
  • Tide measurement
  • Drogue tracking
  • Dye dispersal tracking
  • Meteorological measurements (where the wind conditions can have a greater affect on the water current regime than the prevailing tidal conditions).

sampling4.jpgWater column measurements can be made at sea using in-situ CTD profilers with remote water sample collection, providing vertical profiling for physical and chemical parameters and water quality sampling.
Our Resource Assessments incorporate wide-ranging expertise in marine applications of the Global Positioning System.

Our capabilities in this area include:

  •  Precise positioning using real time DGPS
  •  Real time DGPS float & drogue tracking for dispersal studies
